Multiresolution Based on Weighted Averages of the Hat Function II: Nonlinear Reconstruction Techniques
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper we describe and analyze a class of nonlinear multiresolution schemes for the multiresolution setting which corresponds to discretization by local averages with respect to the hat function. These schemes are based on the essentially-non-oscillatory (ENO) interpolatory procedure described in [A. Harten, B. Engquist, S. Osher, and S. Chakravarthy, J. Comput. Phys., 71 (1987), pp. 231–302]. We show that by allowing the approximation to fit the local nature of the data, one can improve the compression capabilities of the multiresolution algorithms. The question of stability for nonlinear (data-dependent) reconstruction techniques is also addressed.

Numerical solvability of system of Fredholm-Hammerstein integral equations using Modification of Hat Function
A system of integral equations can describe different kind of problems in sciences and engineering. There are many different methods for numerical solution of linear and nonlinear system of integral equations. This paper proposed a numerical method based on modification of Hat functions for solving system of Fredholm-Hammerstein integral equations. The proposed method reduced a system of integr...
متن کاملDetermination of Stability Domains for Nonlinear Dynamical Systems Using the Weighted Residuals Method
Finding a suitable estimation of stability domain around stable equilibrium points is an important issue in the study of nonlinear dynamical systems. This paper intends to apply a set of analytical-numerical methods to estimate the region of attraction for autonomous nonlinear systems. In mechanical and structural engineering, autonomous systems could be found in large deformation problems or c...
متن کاملENO Multiresolution Schemes with General Discretizations
Harten’s framework is a nonlinear generalization of the wavelet framework. Previously, the choice of discretization (scaling function) in Harten multiresolution schemes has been limited to point-value, cell-average, and hat-based discretization. This paper shows how to construct multiresolution schemes consistent with Harten’s framework for a variety of discretizations. The construction here be...
متن کاملMultigrid image reconstruction from arbitrarily spaced samples
We propose a novel multiresolution-multigrid based signal reconstruction method from arbitrarily spaced samples. The signal is reconstructed on a uniform grid using B-splines basis functions. The computation of spline weights is formulated as a variational problem. Specifically, we minimize a cost that is a weighted sum of two terms: (i) the sum of squared errors at the specified points; (ii) a...
متن کاملProjected non-stationary simultaneous iterative methods
In this paper, we study Projected non-stationary Simultaneous It-erative Reconstruction Techniques (P-SIRT). Based on algorithmic op-erators, convergence result are adjusted with Opial’s Theorem. The advantages of P-SIRT are demonstrated on examples taken from to-mographic imaging.
